St. Stephens Children Home, located in Timau, Meru, is a safe haven for 24 children, 10  of whom are between the ages of 4 and 12. The home is an initiative of Bishop Esther K. Mwiti, a nurse/nutritionist who founded the home after surviving a kidney operation as a way of serving God, who healed her. Relying primarily on the generosity of donors, the home ensures the children have access to essential care, safety and nourishment.

At present, the home has rusty and disheveled play equipment that needs repairs. The children deserve a safe and engaging play area that will foster not only their physical growth but also their emotional well-being and social development.
